Ancient Roman Basket Handle Double Balsamarium, glass blue colored flask used for cosmetics or oils
This piece features a basket like handle, applied to the out-folded rim and a third down the body each side. Traces of luminous silvery blue iridescence cover the piece further embellishing it. Balsamaria usually came with glass or bronze applicators used to extract precious oils and creams from inside.
Has original and or earthy encrustations with beautiful shimmers of pinks and purple colored iridescence.
Sold as shown. No documentation available as was found in a storage unit with other artifacts. Original owners of the storage unit were from the Middle East and brought the items to the US.
